| WICHITA, Kan. -The Kansas Health Foundation is accepting applications for its Recognition Grant program. Awarded twice a year, Recognition Grants are designed to support grassroots organizations working to improve health in Kansas. Recognition Grants support a broad range of health-related organizations and community efforts throughout the state. These grants are awarded based on a number of criteria, including creativity, and recipients are selected by a panel of experts representing different geographic regions of the state. It is the only Foundation program open to unsolicited requests for funding. Recognition Grant applications for the current cycle are due September 15, 2005. Applications are available for download at www.kansashealth.org.
