Grant Purpose:
The purpose of this grant is to prepare local, regional and the state public health agencies in Kansas for application and compliance with the newly-developed national public health accreditation standards. Through the administration of two projects-one managed by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and the other by the Kansas Health Institute (KHI) - public health officials in Kansas will gain a better understanding of the accreditation standards and how to prepare their agencies for the accreditation process.
