Working through partnerships Through all of the Foundation’s major initiatives, a common thread is that of partnership. Working with other Kansas organizations to combine expertise, experience, ideas and resources allows for the greatest chance of success for these grants. During 2008, the Foundation was pleased to develop new relationships as well as to renew past partnerships. The dental hubs project allowed the Foundation to team with five other Kansas foundations and the state of Kansas in support of this initiative of the Kansas Association for the Medically Underserved. The Kansas Health Care Collaborative combined forces of the Foundation and two medical professionals’ groups. And, the Faith and Leadership Initiative brought the Foundation back to its roots with the Kansas Area United Methodist Church. In years to come, partnerships will continue to be an integral component of the Foundation’s grant making. |
